Guthrie Main Street

Guthrie Main Street is an accredited member of the Kentucky Main Street Program and the National Main Street Center, a subsidiary of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

The downtown districts are the most visible indicator of community pride. It is either an asset or a liability when it comes to bringing new business, industries, retirees, tourists or residents to the community as well as keeping those already here. Quality of life is what separates the successful communities from declining communities.

Our Mission

Guthrie Main Street focuses on preserving the historic fabric and enhancing the charm of our community, encouraging economic growth, and fostering a cooperative spirit in a unique place to visit and a great place to call home.

In 2019 alone, Guthrie Main Street invested $244,308 in downtown projects and tracked over 5000 volunteer hours.
